Chan is a multi-talented individual with a passion for both the stage and the land. As a stage actress and drama class instructor, her talent and dedication earned her a nomination for the prestigious Best Actress in The Hong Kong Theatre Libre in 2019.
Beyond her theatrical pursuits, Chan has also embraced her role as a half-time farmer and workshop facilitator. Her workshops encompass a wide range of topics, from environmental protection and sustainable living to farming-related experiences and nature crafts, including pickling.
In 2016, she took a certificate course in eco-tourism, which led her to an enlightening realisation that the mountains lacked the tranquility she sought. As fate would have it, she discovered farming, which drew her back to the land she now cherishes.
Having studied at Ma Po Po Community Farm and actively participating in Hong Kong Rice Rehabilitation, Chan currently continues her farming journey in Ngau Tam Mei, Yuen Long. In her pursuit of an urban oasis, she is dedicated to finding harmony between the bustling city and the serenity of nature🌾.
Since delving into farming in the spring of 2017, Chan has become deeply connected to the soil and the agricultural way of life.
Her interests extend beyond the practical aspects of farming; she is fascinated by the intricate relationship between people and nature. Among her favourite pursuits is pickling and brewing, through which she sees nature’s transformations and the artistry of the changing seasons come to life.
