MBCT for Life (MBCT-L) is a popular course designed by the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation at the University of Oxford for the general public. Participants can learn how to apply “mindfulness” and “cognitive behavioral skills” in their daily lives through the course, cultivating attention and awareness, being present in every moment with our bodily sensations, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. This helps us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and what is happening around us, addressing the roots of both internal and external issues, so we can take care better of our bodies and minds.
