Ms Maggie Ho is the course director and Founder of Orff 4 Kids Orff Music Classroom. She is a graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree, majoring in music education. She later studied the Orff music teaching method courses Level 1-3 in the United States and Canada. Upon returning to Hong Kong, she devoted herself in promoting the Orff music teaching method and found the Orff 4 Kids Orff music classroom.
Ms Ho has more than 12 years of experience in early childhood music education. Her accomplishments are diverse. She taught and designed the full year curriculum of the 3-6-year-old parent child Music Enlightenment Course at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Excel based on the Orff music teaching method. She served as the music curriculum consultant at Infinity Children’s World Infinity Montessori Academy and Q Q Club Education Center where she designed the curriculum and coordinated related projects. Projects included toddler music parties, Orff Music Workshops, talks for parents.
She co-organized and hosted the Classic For Kids Christmas Concert in collaboration with Peegaboo and MPro Parenting Ltd from 2012 to 2018. In 2015, She also held Nature Concerts at HKFYG Farms and Shing Mun Reservoir, and 40 concerts by the invitation of the Hong Kong Wetland Park.
Recently, Ms Ho promoted the Orff 4 Kids courses to Macau, Singapore and Vancouver. Due to these efforts, many children’s music workshops and teacher training courses were offered in Macau schools (Such as Creche Infantário Santa Rosa de Lima, Obra das Mães Nursery). Since 2015, Ms Ho Ho has been invited as the representative of Macau to the International Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg. She is currently the Vice-President at the Macau Orff-Schulwerk Association. She was invited by the University of Macau in July 2016 as a guest speaker to facilitate knowledge exchange on Orff music teaching at the Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness.
As a former Orff Schulwerk specialized music teacher at the Hong Kong Ling Liang Church Kindergarten (Causeway Bay), Ms Ho is well versed in kindergarten operations and teacher training needs. She provided teacher training for kindergartens and nurseries such as Blooming Buds, Hong Kong Christian Service Kwun Tong Nursery School, The Salvation Army Centaline Charity Fund Yau Tong Kindergarten.
