Faye LAI

Certified Counselor (HKPCA), Master of Applied Psychology, Master of Counseling, Master of Buddhist Counseling – I envision my ideal client as someone who may be feeling overwhelmed by various mental health challenges. They might be grappling with emotional dysregulation, battling depression or anxiety, or seeking to understand the impacts of childhood attachment trauma. They are aware that these issues affect their relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. My clients are often yearning for a deeper understanding of themselves and a path toward healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being.
My practice is grounded in a client-centered philosophy, where I prioritize empathy and active listening. I specialize in guiding individuals through the complexities of emotional struggles, social relationships, and significant life transitions; by integrating elements of emotional focus, cognitive-behavioral, somatic awareness, and mindfulness techniques.
In therapy sessions, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This space fosters trust and vulnerability, allowing for profound healing and self-discovery. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client, and work together towards emotional wellness.
